Lockheed Martin CEO Outlines Technology Priorities Bethesda, Md., Sept. 24, 2014 – Lockheed Martin [NYSE: LMT] Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer Marillyn Hewson shared her vision for the future in a speech to 500 of the Corporation’s top engineering, technical and scientific professionals.

“I believe that our purpose at Lockheed Martin is to change the world for the better,” Hewson said in remarks at the eighth annual Lockheed Martin Fellows Conference in Orlando, Florida, on Sept. 9.

“Together, we envision a great future. A future that’s defined by progress, that’s enriched by discovery, and that’s powered by innovation. It’s through this vision that we bring that future forward and engineer a better tomorrow for humankind.”

Hewson outlined the Corporations’ strategic technology initiatives, highlighted new Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) education efforts and challenged the audience to collaborate across the globe, connect technology development efforts to meet future customer needs and help inspire the next generation of technical leaders.
